TBS offers a one-stop shop for Sea freight services from the United Kingdom to African destinations offering specialist services to Zimbabwe because our knowledge and experience of the local environment.

We consolidate goods from various customers on our container service with a fixed sailing time table.

Our containers to Zimbabwe take 35-40 days from sailing date subject to terms and conditions of our Carriers. Customers are updated on any changes to the Expected Time of Arrival (ETA).

Bookings/ Collection

Container sailing dates and final collection timetable assist our Customers in planning their shipments minutes.

We guarantee collection of all bookings before the sailing date for the container.

Packaging

We supply two forms of packaging:

We do not restrict Customers to our packaging, any form of packaging is acceptable at sea for non hazardous and non fragile goods. We however encourage Customers to use drums for heavy and fragile goods as the packaging is safe, secure and cheap.

Engines/Gearboxes- please seek our advice on packaging as used car parts may have substances and fuels restricted on Sea freight. It is important that we follow proper guidelines so we can be fully covered by our Insurance in the event of the unexpected.

Order Packaging

• Drums are delivered by Courier on receipt of payment confirmation, please allow up to three    working days. If you are not at home, please leave a signed note for the Courier to leave the drum.

• Packing boxes are dispatched by post/courier on receipt of payment confirmation.

Pricing

Cargo outside our standard packaging is quoted relative to a Drum, the drum is the yardstick for costing, for example; a Cooker with the size of a drum will cost £175.

Customs Duty

Customs duty is not a cost Freight Forwarders control but we work in the interest of our Clients to keep this cost down without making any guarantees.

Customers have an option to clear their consignments when the goods get to Harare or request us to clear and deliver goods to the Receivers. Customers will normally pay for Duty when goods have been assessed as opposed to charging upfront.

Customers can pay for duty and delivery of their goods based on estimates.

Vehicles

We have standard charges for Vehicle below two meters in height; please check the height of your car for an instant quote.

Quotations for Vans, Buses and Trucks are based on Dimensions Length, Width, Height and weight. Please submit Vehicle details for a quote. Please supply these dimensions in writing should we proceed to a contract.

Vehicles

DURBAN

We ship vehicles via Durban up to Beitbridge, we can make special arrangements for delivery to destination town subject to securing a Customs bonded warehouse. Vehicles take 25-30 days from sailing date to Beitbridge.

MAPUTO

We take bookings for Maputo and advise Customers of the complex procedures in Maputo, we recommend large vehicles on this route as it is not economic for small vehicles.

Vehicles are shipped to the nearest sea port of entry for all other international destinations.
